Program History
The SMCC Girls Volleyball team brings energy, teamwork, and school spirit to Panther athletics, competing throughout the season while fostering strong skills, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. In 2025, Christine (Ash) Lill enters her second year as head volleyball coach after serving as an assistant in 2022 and 2023. Lill brings extensive coaching experience, having previously led the Sandusky High School varsity volleyball team from 2015 to 2018 and coached freshman volleyball and eighth-grade basketball. A 1994 Perkins High School graduate, Lill earned 11 varsity letters across volleyball, basketball, and track and field, and holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from Bowling Green State University. She has also coached track and field and elementary girls basketball at Sandusky Central Catholic School and currently works as an intervention specialist at Sandusky Intermediate School. Lill and her husband, 1993 SMCC alumnus Ricky Lill, reside in Sandusky with their daughter Allison, a senior who plays volleyball, basketball, and softball for the Lady Panthers.
