Why SCCS

At Sandusky Central Catholic we educate the whole child; body, mind and spirit and our teachers, coaches, and staff are dedicated to developing your child’s unique talents and gifts.

High academic and ethical standards mark the challenging learning environment for students at Sandusky Central Catholic School.  We believe our students are individuals and active participants in their own learning and that parents are crucial partners in the process.  Our approach to educating students instills responsibility and respect, forming young people who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and contributors to church and community.  A close and cooperative connection exists between students, teachers, and staff, creating a supportive educational environment that is truly like a family.

Students at SCCS begin education in the arts and music in Kindergarten and our strong academic approach establishes the foundation for life-long learning and discovery.  Throughout their learning journey, students are prepared and challenged for their high school career and beyond with an emphasis on values and leadership.  Our compassionate, qualified educators are committed to excellence in the classroom and students are engaged in a comprehensive curriculum with opportunities for individualized learning, tutoring, and supplemental instruction.

The Panthers field 9 Varsity sports teams for boys and 7 for girls with athletics beginning in elementary school. All of the Panthers' sports teams provide students with the opportunity to display their talents and compete at the highest levels of school athletics.

What sets Sandusky Central Catholic School apart is the ability to teach the whole child by enriching the spirit of every student with Catholic values and the gospel of Jesus Christ.  SCCS offers opportunities to grow in faith every day, including daily prayer, weekly mass and service projects.  Retreats begin for students in Kindergarten and grow in depth and complexity until they are seniors.

Most of all, you will find a safe, secure environment with a committed and caring faculty and staff.  This is the start of your journey with Sandusky Central Catholic School.  Please know that we are here to help every step of the way.
