Honoring Our Past. Celebrating Our Present. Investing in Our Future.

In 1902, Father Joseph P. Widman founded St. Mary’s High School with just 25 students and a vision of providing a Catholic education rooted in faith, academic excellence, and service. More than a century later, that vision continues to thrive at Sandusky Central Catholic School, thanks in large part to the extraordinary generosity of generations of alumni, families, parishioners, and friends.

Established to recognize and celebrate this tradition of giving, the 1902 Society honors individuals who believe deeply in the mission of Sandusky Central Catholic School and have made cumulative lifetime gifts of $5,000 or more. These generous benefactors play a vital role in sustaining and strengthening Catholic education, ensuring that future generations of Panthers have the opportunity to grow in faith, develop their talents, and reach their God-given potential.

Members are invited to two special gatherings each year:

  • Fall State of the School & Recognition Event: An evening of fellowship, appreciation, and celebration, featuring an update on the school's accomplishments, progress, and vision for the future, along with recognition of new members and those reaching new giving milestones.

  • Summer Social: A more relaxed gathering offering members the opportunity to reconnect with fellow supporters, enjoy fellowship, and strengthen the relationships that make the SCCS community so special.

Membership in the 1902 Society is both a recognition of remarkable generosity and a celebration of a shared belief in the enduring value of Catholic education.

From the first 25 students in 1902 to the generations of Panthers who have followed, the legacy of Sandusky Central Catholic School continues because of people who believe in its mission and invest in its future.
