Job Goals:
- To further the Sandusky Central Catholic School mission by coordinating all marketing
and graphic design strategies for internal and external communications for advancement
and development initiatives.
- To increase awareness of SCCS as a leader in quality Catholic education through a
comprehensive marketing plan.
- To coordinate the design and production of marketing materials, school-related
publications, and management of multiple media platforms in support of the school’s
advancement efforts.
- To ensure consistent messaging while effectively and proactively elevating the brand
awareness of SCCS.
- To collaborate effectively with the Advancement and Development Team to create, plan,
implement, and sustain an advancement process that will support the ministry of SCCS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Marketing, Communications or related field.
- Proven experience and expertise in marketing strategies, design and graphics preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with layout, graphic design, photo management, and
photo/video editing skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing graphic design software.
- Working knowledge of various social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills that contribute to a collegial working environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively
communicate with all stakeholders of the school.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong creative skills for developing and coordinating marketing strategies.
- Ability to attend functions/events on occasional evenings and weekends; limited travel at
times.
- Meet all certification requirements set forth by the Diocese of Toledo and Sandusky
Central Catholic School.
Performance Responsibilities:
I. Marketing
-Collaborate with the President/Head of School and the Advancement and Development
Team to develop and implement an innovative and integrated marketing plan.
- Propose, confirm, and stay within budget limits for marketing activities.
- Lead and manage marketing programs to build brand awareness and enhance the
image of SCCS in the community.
- Work with the Advancement and Development Team to produce promotional materials
and school-related publications.
- Work with the Advancement and Development Team to develop timely reports including marketing updates showing results and activities.
- Post pertinent school and promotional information to social media platforms regularly.
- Manage the school’s website to ensure timely enhancements and upkeep.
- Evaluate website and social media data to ensure information is reaching the targeted
audience.
- Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, developments, and best practices.
- Manage special projects, initiatives, promotions, and other programs as needed at the
direction of the President/Head of School.
- Attend all scheduled team meetings.
II. Graphic Design
- Serve as ‘gatekeeper’ for graphic and editorial standards to ensure that brand, identity, and logos are maintained and never compromised.
- Collaborate with the Advancement and Development Team to develop, update, and
maintain the website and social media graphics and content.
- Produce optimized and engaging materials for digital promotions.
- Manage all creative designs and art on a centralized database. Backup all data.
- Coordinate design and print services with outside vendors.
- Maintain technical knowledge by participating in design workshops, professional
societies, and reviewing professional publications.
- Understand and advise on design best practices and market trends.
III. Video and Photography
- Create promotional video presentations for school and donor events.
- Assist the teaching staff with special project needs.
- Work with the Athletic Department to produce game entrance programs for all athletic
teams where applicable, using video boards, music, and lighting techniques.
