Dear Friends in Christ,

For over one hundred years, families in Erie County have been fortunate to have the opportunity to choose a Catholic education for their children.  Sandusky Central Catholic School stands on the shoulders of countless generations who have sacrificed greatly to ensure an innovative, research-based, and well-rounded education.  We are grateful for our rich history of excellence, proud of the extraordinary things happening, and excited for our bright future.

We are pleased to present our 2015-2016 Annual Report, an illustration of our school, its numerous accomplishments, and the many people whose support guarantees its success.  This year’s report demonstrates growth across the board.  First, in the classroom we strive to introduce new curricula, programs, and technology that are pioneering in education.  Second, we continue our campus revitalization with upgrades that not only beautify, but also maximize the use of space in our historic buildings.  Third, we remain good stewards with limited financial resources, while maximizing government funding and following a balanced budget that puts students first.  Finally, we continue to promote the long-term financial stability of our school through the SCCS Education Foundation.  Totaling almost $8 million, we are blessed to have these funds that contribute annually to our school’s operating budget, support our students through scholarships and tuition assistance, and reward our teachers through the Endowed Chair Program.  Your investment in the Foundation helps create a legacy of providing a first-class Catholic education for our students and our community.

It is our hope that you will find this Annual Report insightful.  We are proud of the progress and improvements taking place.  We thank you for your ongoing prayers and support for our school and our SCCS Education Foundation.  2015-2016 was another exceptional year for Sandusky Central Catholic School and we look forward to all that the Lord has in store for the future.  Our mission of Strengthening the Body, Challenging the Mind, and Enriching the Spirit continues to develop the whole person, while making God a consistent presence throughout the school day.

God bless and go Panthers!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Rev. Michael Roemmele
Vicar, Sandusky Central Catholic School
